News: "OLena" was awarded Res. Grand Champion Stallion at the April OkFQHR Show!
"Olena" is a new addition to my farm.
I got him in the summer of 2005. I just had to have him when I saw him.
It was a tough decision though, because I knew if I got him, I'd have to let one
of my other stallions go. Registered with AQHA and FQHR with approx. 95%
Foundation blood. I also listing him with APHA, so he can
breed Paint Mares.
Olena is sired by the famous MR SUN O LENA that is an AQHA and NCHA Champion. His
sire is a Dun, and his dam is a gray. He carries both the Dun gene, and
the Gray gene, and should be an excellent color sire, not to mention the
quality, conformation, disposition, and pedigree to go with it! When bred
to sorrel mares, he should produce a non-sorrel foal 87.5 % of the time.
This stallion has
been tested, and is Confirmed Negative for the EVA virus. He has also been
vaccinated for EVA and is safe to breed and his semen is safe to ship.
I will offer him to the public again
for the
2008 breeding season.
Registered AQHA, APHA, ApHC, TB, and others as well as and quality Grade mare will be accepted.
His stud fee will be $500. This includes the Booking/Chute
Fee of $150.
On-Farm breedings will be done A.I. and up to 10 Ultrasounds, Semen
Collections, Inseminations, and a Pregnancy Exam for the first cycle will be Included
with the fee. Once the mare is in-foal, additional pregnancy checks are
also available. I can also offer shipped semen with this stallion.
Customers ordering Cooled Shipped Semen will receive the first shipment at a
discounted price of $95.
He was bred with his previous owner as a 2 yr old, and his first foal was born
in 2005, and she is a Dun. I have a picture of her below. His second crop
was born in
2006 and I have reports of lots of color.
His third foal crop was born in 2007, and there are lots of Duns and gray foals!
DNA Tested for Agouti, and he is Aa.
DNA Genotype concluded to be EeAe+Dn+G
(One Red Base, One Black Base, Heterozygous for Agouti,
Heterozygous for Dun, and Heterozygous for Gray)
These pictures taken 7/07/07.

This picture taken June 2006, as a 4 yr old.

These 2 pictures taken 6-10-06, at age 4, when resting on the horse walker.

Colored Foal Guarantee:
If he sires a Sorrel foal, even if bred to a sorrel mare, then the Mare Owner
can return for
a second breeding for Half the listed Stud Fee. Mare owner gets to keep
both foals.
(When bred to sorrel mares, he should produce a non-sorrel foal 87.5 % of the
time.
I'll add more pedigree, performance
records later..

Here is a picture of "OLena's" sire, Mr Sun O Lena,
an AQHA and NCHA Champion.

Here is a picture of OLena's
first foal,
born in 2005, out of a sorrel mare.
She is a Dun, and is 4 mo old in this picture. His 2nd crop was born
in 2006.

These were taken at the Jackson County
Horse Show in Altus, OK. Fall 2005, as a 3 yr old.
OLena won RESERVE GRAND CHAMPION STALLION.
(The horse that took Grand was a NYPP positive Halter horse.)

Pictured here as a 3 yr old, taken when I bought him, Aug. of 2005.

This one was for Fun! I dressed him up as a Scare-Crow for a Halloween Pet
Costume Contest! The front half of him was a Scare-Crow and I put his
front legs IN over-alls! I also strapped old cowboy boots on his feet!
The back half was a giant Pumpkin, complete with a green Vine for a tail.!
He was a great sport for the whole thing and tollerated barking dressed-up dogs,
and screaming kids for the whole contest!
